Hearts of Humanity Hope for the Holidays program helps families with children, and seniors by providing food, toys, home items and clothing.
We were expecting request for toys and games during the holiday season. To our surprise some families instead requested basic needs such as bed sheets/blankets, coats, hats gloves, under garments, pots and pans, along with laundry supplies, and personal hygiene items. This awakened us to truly see how great the need is in our community. In our seventh, year we were able to assist 6,725 children during the holiday season. We hope to surpass that in 2025 with help from community partners, donors, sponsors, and local businesses. Families and individuals apply and are screened for participation. All must demonstrate need (income at no more than 45% above the federal poverty level). Families and individuals must have children age 15 and younger or be above 60 years in age and complete an application. Hope for the Holidays Program 2025

Priority will be given to families whose children attend Northwest Neighborhood Center and live in the Mercy Drive Corridor
